HKUST SBM
The HKUST Business School (SBM) is a globally recognized institution, but its digital presence was struggling under the weight of its own content. Plagued by a fragmented information architecture and duplicated pages, navigating its vast array of programs, news, and research centers had become cumbersome. Our mission was to elevate the SBM digital experience to match its academic prestige. Through intensive IA restructuring and multiple iterative design rounds, we transformed the site. By introducing robust mega menus, a modular card-based layout, and fluid micro-animations, we delivered a sophisticated, highly scannable platform that seamlessly serves prospective students, faculty, and corporate partners.

What We Built
More than just code and pixels, we saw this project as an opportunity to build a living, adaptable ecosystem.
Content-Rich Modular Layout
Card-based designs organize dense news and event information into easily scannable blocks.
Goal-Oriented Mega Menus
Deep drop-down menus flatten the site hierarchy, reducing clicks and providing instant access to specific programs.

Distinct Brand Visuals & Imagery
High-quality photography and consistent branding project professional authority and build trust.
Action-Driven Utilities
Prominent calls-to-action (CTAs) and quick links give returning users fast access to essential portals.

Dynamic Interactions & Motion Design
To elevate the user experience, we strategically integrated subtle micro-animations throughout the interface. These fluid interactions provide intuitive visual feedback, guide the user's journey, and give the platform a modern, premium feel without compromising performance.
Adapting for Small Screens
Translating the robust desktop experience into a streamlined, tactile mobile journey that keeps users engaged.
